Have you tryed Flickr? Probably yes and you are thinking about a Pro account as the free has limitations that after a short time are quite disturbing. Like only three galleries without embedding, only last 200 photos visible, ... And probably more, but only these are the main things pushing you to buy the pro account. But.
There is a way how to make it work without paying. Groups! Create as many groups as you want and make them public, invitation only. You can add your pictures into groups instead of galleries.
