Promised pictures

Hi, here you have the promised pictures from the first film I developed myself. Need to solve the problem with water.

Ilford HP5+ developed in Ilfosol 3, 6.5 min.

First analog film and print developed

Finally I managed to develop my own film and also to make prints. I need to thank to a friend who had found time on me. The theoretical part was longer mastered through texts and youtube but it is still better to be there with somebody with practice.

Despite the negative is not perfect and the prints were just exercises, it was a great experience. The darkroom was not completely dark, there were light leaks I was afraid of. The developer tank was also leaking when turning. We had only tap water to work with. The enlarger timer just short circuited :) First we tried to enlarge on the wrong side of the paper, without success. :) Quite a thrill. I dropped the negative into the positive developer while enlarging :( Ah.

The only thing that bothers me are the water marks on the negative because of tap water. That needs to be made better next time. As I have everything to develop my own negatives plus some real experience, next time I'm going to do it myself. No more waiting 10 days to be developed by whoever for lot of money. That money will be spent on more negative :)

Today will scan the film and post some pics on my vivo page and probably few even here. Keep watching, bye. :)

First post in 2011

Hi, happy new year or like that. Just a pic to keep posting. I had to work between holidays and also this week. Days are short, hard to find time for shooting. I pass everyday by a frozen lake, where kids are playing hockey or just skating, the days are foggy, the view is beautiful, the possibilities are endless and i need to go to work :(
Tomorrow or who knows when next, cause after then school holidays are over, weather could warm up, I need to be there.

The picture I made walking to the lake at my parent's home, did some postprocess. Enjoy.

November rain

It is a month I wrote anything, but still stick to not quit blogging. Not sure why, it's mostly like a personal diary, since it's being public I do not confess with all the things that bother or make me happy.

You can find some pictures from Spain - Malaga, Granada, Alicante in my web album. Few portraits, street shots, landscapes/cityscapes. Will add more pictures later from the bus trip from Granada to Alicante, a 7h marathon.

To publish pictures also here, a portrait from a shooting we did in autumn, the weather was beatiful, crisp colours and light, corn field still not harvested. Unfortunately the session was very short as my beautiful model got sick as soon as we arrived. The picture reflects my actual mood, ill and alone the whole week. But the warm toning help, what you think? :)

Hi. The last week I got married, and this weekend we are leaving for our honeymoon into Spain, Andalusia. No post for about two weeks, unless I find an urge to write, not really possible. Till then enjoy the pic.

So, another week, another pic and status info. Less than 3 weeks left till my wedding, gosh, the year from my engagement just flew away so fast. But looking forward for honeymoon, as had we had no longer vacation this year.
We had a team building event in Czech Republic, were canoeing Vltava river for three days, was great, will post few pics next time, need to scan the pics.
Also got developed 7 rolls of film, so in near future will try to process them and post.

This weekend arrived my new flash, a lumopro 160 :) Had not much time to test, but was playing with long exposure and light/flash painting. Nothing really good created, but lessons learned and the next time gonna have a plan. Here's a picture from an old wine cellar. Hi, today realized that no post for more than a month, I even can't list all the things I did for that time and anyway, who cares. Was mostly shooting family, nothing creative or interesting :S One picture promised, from fishing and another just to lower my feel of guilt for not posting anything for a long time. Just joking :)

Weekly nopic #15

Hi, almost a month a wrote last time, what to do. After I returned from Saudi Arabia, got developed my pics and published on my vivo page, find it here or through my profile. Quite bad scan but for viewing on monitor enough, later will do some post processing on better ones.

After the business trip had a week of holidays, went fishing with friends, first time the last ten years :) the first two days were great, we caught many fishes, had many beers, ..., shisha. The last two days were just sitting and desperately waiting for a bite, not a mosquito bite, cause there were a lot of them, but for the fishes. As always, the biggest fish got escaped :) Maybe I post a landscape of the lake we've been to.

I am planing to buy a film scanner as now I have many rolls of film not scanned or developed in any way and I want to share them as everybody is eager to see them :P

Weekly pic #14

Hi, this weekly frequency of posts somehow does not work, I miss it too often. My last exceuse is a business trip to Saudi Arabia. Was there for a week, shot only two rolls, will see if anything usable after I got it developed, hope tomorrow. It was a nice experience, different people, different culture, they are kind and helpful but don't want them to work or do something and this will be their decline as oil will run out. They just don't have work habits, their problem solving skills are weak, not much will to learn and I could continue.
Will post a picture from the roll of film they lost at lab and found after many weeks :) Enjoy, more pics can be found at my vivo album, find link on right.

Hi, missed man weeks, moved from my temporal place at my sister's, took a bit longer to set up internet connection and many more little problems...

Lately I've been shooting street photography in Budapest, met with great people. Few pics here. Also was shooting portraits for a couple before their wedding, they broke up weeks later so probably will not publish their pictures soon. Was a good experience with positive feedback, but I'm not sure that I would like to get into this business.

I took the films to develop, it's not cheap and takes amazingly long time, 10 days :-O What is worse, they have lost one of my films! I got really angry, and more when remembered what pictures will I miss. Bastards! I really need to develop myself.

Today and tomorrow attending a wine tasting, hope hangover won't last too long ;) And a picture about life in cities, enjoy:

Another ~week, another post, almost. I was shooting quite bit, an after engagement, pre wedding something, not the thing I want to do, but what you don't make for friends, maybe will post some pics after then.

Lately was shooting mostly on film superia, tri-x, ektar, few pics can be seen on my vivo account, see right. Others will be posted after I develop them and scan in low quality :S

Status report

- This is a horrible week. Every day wakeing up at 6:00.
- Every day spending a lot of money (camera, rental, and more rental).
- Sleeping on the floor at my sister's.
- Found a 'cheap' used lens I wanted longer, but I was strong and resisted. Will return tomorrow?!
- It's raining all the time, got wet 3 times. Got a bit cold because of it.
- Would like to test my new gear, no time ofr it.
- Searching for flat to rent, found many, expensive or not an option.
- Yesterday I was refused to hire a flat, because I am willing to move there with my girlfriend, the old lady is not supporting pre-marriage couples! Not many people think like that nowadays.
- There's a concert today I planned to attend, probably will not.
- They refused to copy the keys to the flat, I need a card whatever that it's my.
- Sitting here instead of going out.

But it's not that bad, found a flat today, payed the caution. Bought a camera I'm going to test soooon :)

I moved to my sister tillI find a new flat to rent, that's why I was not posting anything and also my lazyness. So I will post more pictures today, spring is here, enjoy. Aaaand, today I bought a used Voigtlander Bessa R2A with a 35mm 1.7 lens, hope a won't regret it ;) And don't tell anyone, I'm gonna be 'killed' at home :-P
